Laflin was in the process of foreclosure and only partially occupied when we purchased it. Repairs to the building heating systems, new plumbing installation, and renovations for all the 2 bedroom apartments were required to get this property back on its feet. Navigating that process in addition to turning the tenant base during the pandemic was quite the challenge.

While some of the expected cash flow was delayed, our 2021 appraisal hit our valuation target. As of now, we have a fully rented building totaling 18 affordable housing units, and are well on our way to exceeding the overall anticipated returns for the building.
